Point.  But what is stopping the ship from using other substances.  Imagin
if they enchant items so they explode on impact, but must have the final
phrase spoken before they are 'armmed'.  Store them in chests (so they won't
get set off), and fly by making a 'bombing run'.  Use the shout (2nd level
spell) to have the mage say the arming word...
