Ok regarding these Xixchil. I've played a lot of campaigns and in several of
them a player choose a Xixchil as character. They are most fearsome
creatures as I have noticed, lots of attacks, a decent AC due to their high
dexterity and serious damage from each of these attacks. I've always ruled
out the use of weapons (except grafted ones) as that would really make them
very powerfull characters. I would allow the grafting of a magic weapon,
because i don't see why this should be forbidden. The Xixchil modifies its
body in such ways that the weapon is in fact locked in place so the magic is
retained as the weapon is not broken, changed or anything. Even if you
assume they cannot graft magic they are still one of the hardest things to
encounter and fight, remember their poison ability. The player who always
used a Xixchil was one of my best, so in regard to the overabuse of Xixchil
I didn't notice very much, as he always played the Xixchil like I think they
should be played: a rare race with very special abilities, but always
curious and caring for its surroundings, not easily angered due to its high
intelligence and soft nature. They are one of the most civilized races i
think.>>

I posted something like this over on Planet AD&D.com asking about some of
this. One of the biggest 'beafs' i have with then, is if they cannot graft
weapons on that are magical, then how the hell do they fight monsters
requiring magic to hit. Also, would their 'natural weaponry' or any grafted
weapon be considered touching, for purposes of Undead energy drain??
