Why?  Is he worried about carpal tunnel?

In previous editions there are innumerable devices, if you don't care
about variety.  Murlynd's spoon, barrel of saltpork, etc.  There's an
ioun stone that removes this need as well, IIRC.  Of course, if he's
got a green thumb a barge with a garden would handle this nicely as
well.

Create a gate to the elemental plane of water.  Use a
precipitation/cloudburst spell (cast wall of fog or fog cloud first if
you're worried about not enough suspended water in your atmosphere
after too long).  Conjure magical ice and let it melt (or chill a
surface for water to condense on from your wall of fog...).  This one's
far too easy to handle...

Air.  A garden, ioun stone, crown of the void, or any of innumerable
spells would help here.
