Or a golem or an enchanted writing desk (the Stronghold Builder's
Guidebook for 3.0 gives rules for creating large, non-portable magical
items).

I thought these were made with the Create Food & Water spell, which,
last time I checked was a divine spell.

or, yanno... drinking from?  And, with just one living being on board
(and a familiar with a self-cleaning litter box) I don't imagine the
deck will have too much crap on it. :D  But yeah, a swimming pool would
be fun.

Entertainment would be good.  See aforementioned swimming pool.  Being
on friendly terms with a succubus might be a good thing, too (even
wizards have the urge...).  In the short term anyway.  A nice library
would be a necessity (and any wizard worth his pointy hat has to have a
library anyway).  Various scrying items or, perhaps, magical
correspondence systems would also be welcome.
