Well, yes. But, on the other hand, this was random paranoid speculation
(along with possible plot seeds) - the kind of speculation that leads to
tinfoil hats and Illuminati web pages in real life. I think what I wrote
fuels that sort of thing better than this would:
"Could there also be lurking remnant societies of Goblinoids, crippled by
the unnatural selection of genocidal warfare, weakened and broken beyond the
worst jokes about Kobolds. Societies who have never known anything but
terror of the vast might of the Elven Imperial Fleets?"
Of course, now that I've written that, it has a certain pathos to it. If
you were using a "horrors of war" theme in a campaign, that might be worth
using.
