<Including in this fray are Githyanki rebels that are looking for the
tomb of Gith to counter the Githyanki's Queen>
This is a post I put over on the Planescape mailing list but it does
concern the above topic of Gith Rebels. The subject was Queen Vlaakith
CLVIII (Thats one more than the current one)

"In fact unlike all her predecessors this Vlaakith is a litch, has no
heirs, and in her undead state is unable to produce them."
                                                             - A guide to the Astral Plane
Well, not necesarily. It is quite possible (though granted highly
unlikely) to obtain a bone splinter, whisp of hair, bit of old flesh,
whatever and then use the spell clone to um... well make a clone. Then all you
have to do is get Joe Shmo Githyanki make a little magic (the kind that
doesn't need wizards or priests) and voila, we have an heir.
Of course there are a few slight problems here. The first one of
course is obtaining the sample from the Queen who probably is none too
keen on this idea, especially considering she destroys Githyanki who
rise in power so they won't be a threat to her.
The second problem relates to that as well, she of course isn't going
to be like "oh well I guess you are the heir and all, heres the keys to
the palace theres juice in the ice box"
So the whole affair is likely to lead to massive civil war.
-----End Post-----

In 2E this made a fully sentient being, in 3E this makes a sort of
lifeless body (there not really dead, so corpse isn't exacty the right
word) that can't engage in procreation (I don't think it can anyways)
however one gets around that small problem by extracting an egg from the
bad performing invitro fertilization. I imagine that since Githyanki
are egg layers that simplifies things (though I'm really quite clueless
on the subject) but if any complications arise magic can sweep them
under the carpet.

Concerning my post where I recommended the books, you can probably
download them off of Kazaa (of questionable legality) or you can
purchase them from www.svgames.com for download for a little under $5
apiece.

on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
