In my game, yes to all of these. Of course, Athas (and defiler magic) is only a legend. They did once find evidence of on ancient EIN interdict order declaring the sphere off limits, but no recognizable referents as far as location. Effects that injure plants do so to elven ships, but the ships get excellent saves and reduced damage (in 3e terms, high SR and damage reduction against defoliant effects of 10) due to their highly engineered state. As far as poisons go, plant specific poisons can have an effect. It is not always a predictable effect, so I like to customize each one instead of systematizing it. Speak with Plants/ and Control Plants effects are subject to the SR mentioned above. If successful Control Plants effects become opposed ability checks. (Pilot SJ + d20 + Int to defend, Spell Level+ Int + d20 to attack). High roll wins for that round. If one wins by 10 or more then that side takes control and the next opposed check is not for 6 rounds. At least, that's the way it is out here, don't know about your part of the multiverse...
