I am not sure, but I suspect the Crystal Sphere wins
out. I think in my campaign I would rule that it would
open a portal.

The glues and suction cups cannot work, they just
slide off.

I would rule that the magic would fail on the portable
hole, primarily because the size involved. I have
never seen a portable hole large enough for a
spelljamming ship to fit into, and hence it could not
span the entire area opened by the portal.
Furthermore, if I had a player foolish enough to try,
I would suck them through to the Astral plane in an
Astral Conduit which will spit them out in someplace
nasty.

I have always used about a 20 foot thick
visualization.

It cuts it into two pieces, and it is a nasty thing to
do to a spelljamming ship. (Evil laugh-I have done it,
2 automatic Critical rolls from the table on the ship,
as well as a ship shaken and a hull holed and woe to
the party members on the wrong side-the one without
the helm)
