It seems that Balic's Blades has some new talent. A dwarven Magesmith from
Oerth
has joined forces with the reknowned craftsman and has been producing
beautiful
masterwork weapons in the traditional dwarven style. Balic remains quiet as
to the
details of their association, and the dwarf who calls himself Dugan has as
well.
>From what we can gather, he recently arrived on the Rock on The Door To
Excess
(Flagship of House Seven Stars) and has been seen with the Seven Stars in
locales
ranging from the Rockrat in Lowtown to the White Galleon.
Rumor has it that Dugan has been using Balic's facilities to craft numerous
magical rings.
More details are unavailable as the dwarf has recently shipped out on a
House Seven Stars
ship as part of a rescue operation for one of their downed traders. Ron Ko
K'Tel,
 gnomish administrator for the trading house had no comment.


Rurmors are flying around the Shipyards that Irdana Shipwright is
negotiating a commision to build
an oversized custom Octopus Ship made of Oeridian Bronzewood. There is
little known of the details,
but the famous designer of the Battle Dolphin calss vessel has been freeing
up space in the yards for a larger
 than usual project.

In Lowtown several "professional," ladies have disappeared over the past few
weeks. While at first it was thought
that they were lying low during the gang wars, the body of one Jezebel Jade
was found brutally murdered in an alley off Dock Street. The body was pinned
to a wall by daggers through each hand and foot, and hiorribly mutilated.
