While you're on old settings, included in the non-TSR ones you have to have
Tolkien's middle earth.  That one's still going strong, thank's to the Lord
of the Rings movies.  It and Conan's Hyboria are classics.  Tolkien's world
is what made me interested in D&D in the very first place, as I'm sure it
was for many others as well.  And along with Hyboria there's also Kull's
Atlantis.

BTW, was or was not Kull supposed to be Conan's great great (etc.) ...
grandfather or not?  I heard that somewhere, that Conan's creator said that,
but I don't remember where.
