Trying to pare down my reply to you into something more succinct. Vastly
exceeded the list's line limit.

Okay, first off our campaign is one of a series of games that started in
1980. Each following game used the previous one as part of it's history, as
did the next and so on. The last SJ campaign was 7 yrs ago and took place
right after the Unhuman wars. Scro were just turning up, but very rarely and
not in numbers.

The backdrop is a multigod rivalry along the following lines:
Dukagsh vs. Grumuush
Dukagsh, Grumuush, Llolth, and Asmodeus vs. the Elven Pantheon
Lolth vs. Asmodeus as well as the reverse.
Celestian trying to simply keep the paths of the multiverse unimpeded (he
has become a Major Deity in our UNiverse due to spacers and Planewalkers)
These dynamics on the Outer Planes are what guides the events of the game
itself.

The campaign is designed to test the new rules for 3e as well as eventually
the Epic Lvl Handbook. The ARCANE (not Mercane) run the Epic Lvl Setting of
Union which is where things will end up once Planejamming becomes a bit more
common. The PC's are led by a Tiefling Psion and a Hadozee Priestess of
Celestian. Other players include an elven Tief/Sor/Prestige Class: Dragon
Disciple; a half elven Wiz/Cleric:Celestian/Prestige Class:Arcanist; a giff
Fighter/Prestige Class:Gladiator; a dwarven Fighter/Wiz/Prestige
Class:MageSmith.

Now the 2nd Unhuman Wars are breaking out. One of the catalysts for it was
Dukagsh rising to Godhood. It seems Asmodeus wishes further troops to
augment his Blood War forces and helped uplift Dukagsh by loaning him power.
The afterlife for orcs has always been to be cannon fodder for Grumuush in
his war with Malglubiyet, now the followers of Dukagsh go to Baator as
troops there. Dukagsh has discovered A's plans and is working towards
building enough worshipers to challenge A. In the meantime A' has unleashed
the Iron Shadow (from Tales From The Infinite Staircase) across the planes
causing stifling pockets of law so intense it eventually freezes everything
into stasis.

The PC's have had numerous adventures on Bral, in Wildspace, on Greyhawk,
and in the Outer and Transitive Planes. If anyone wants details email me
offlist and I will send you a 64k text file summary of the game so far (I am
a web designer and have created a "Game CD," containing all the variants,
house rules, images and character stats for each of my players. I can just
cut and paste "The Chronicle" into an email for you.)
The party is currently off to Arnmistace (following the
SpiralSpace>GreatSpace>GrommSpace>WinterSpace path of our cosmology) after
leaving a heavily fortified RoBral. The Battle of Ironpiece just took place
a matter of weeks
ago and the Rock is heavily fortified, including an Elven Armada and 3
Man'OWars w/ cloaking helms and an experimental PlaneJammer hidden in
theGrainfields asteroids. NEither cloaking helms or Planejamming helms are
common knowledge OR known to the PC's ....yet.

They have just completed the mission for the IEN to Gamarro Base (found
evidence of traitors and other info, had to planeshift out before they found
the Witchlight Marauder). They also discovered a that the Drow are involved
somehow. That somehow is a tradeoff between the races. Bonded by a mutual
hatred of elves and distrust of each other the drow have been supplying
trainign in magic and combat in return for helms. The scro realise that they
will have to face off against the drow one day and have booby trapped the
helms. The drow know this and have found a way to neutralise the traps, they
are waiting to let the scro do most of the dirty work and then take it all
away from them.

This is the coarsest overview possible, and still leaves out many elements,
I do have to go to work now so I must cut it short. A lot of the source
material has been drawn form the fantastic work being posted on Beyond The
Moons, and more of it written from scratch. The Seekers
(http://www.darkwood.org/sj/contests/localchapters/SeekersEnclave-Bral.html
) are some of that material as they play a major part in the game (3 mebers
of the party are Seekers).

I will be submitting more as I get it codified.
