I don't really have a problem with SotSM, I use Pyrespace as a Sphere in my game, and I use many of the feats and such. I just hope that there is SJ content because I can always use more source material. After all, I am going to pick and choose what I utilize anyway. As to going "back to the roots," they may be generic articles, or they may be genuinely useful pieces updated to the new ruleset. It is, to my mind, useless to pan something sight unseen. I fail to understand the emotion here. If you don't like it, don't use it. I for one would be glad of anything that puts SJ in the eyes of those who are unfamiliar with it, any chance of getting a new generation of people interested in the setting helps push towards truly reviving it rather than sustaining it. BTW, anyone have ideas or knowledge about the status of the rights to the setting? The time is ripe for an independent d20 publisher to try to revive it, perhaps some of us... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Night_Druid" <Night_Druid@??????????.net> To: <SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com> Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2003 9:02 AM Subject: Re: [SPELLJAMMER] Dragon 315 Revists Old Settings > > On Nov 8, 2003, at 11:25 AM, Sebastian Lucier wrote: > > > > > Greyhawk by Erik Mona - Resident Greyhawk guru Erik Mona gives us > > > dozens of regional feats for the Greyhawk setting, usable whether you > > > play in Oerth or not. > > > > Erik Mona was one of the pair that redid SJ for Polyhedron (the other > > being Andy Collins, the Archnemesis).
