I'm sorry, you lost me. Are you claiming that WotC squashed Core
Rules sales, making it a difficult to find product? Destroyed
existing stocks of the Core Rules CD?

Or are you saying they followed copyright law and pressured those who
posted portions of the Core Rules CD on line illegally to stop?

Because of course they protected their copyrights. Everyone should.
