Just a bit of nitpicky clarification: lupins, rakasta and tortles originated in OD&D (Basic, Expert, et al). They first appeared in various OD&D modules (rakasta in X1, for example), and were later part of the Creature Catalog. They were expanded upon in the Voyage of the Princess Ark series of articles in Dragon, which was an exploration of then unknown areas of the OD&D setting Mystara. Aspects of those articles were used to create the Red Steel setting. A minor detail, I know, but I used to be a big Mystara fan. And, despite my fondness for 3e (and especially 3.5e), I sometimes miss the simplicity of OD&D.
