Subject: Re: Ship hulls sizes etc, from the modeller
Ok been working on making spelljamming ships into 3d models for creating art.
In doing so, and working out scales etc, and realizing the original
sizes were WAY off what's likely or practical, I rebuilt them a bit. I
use RHINO3D which is a precision modeller (used in industry in fact).

These three images show a Deathspider, Squidship, Manowar side by side
for comparsion, overhead one has grid, size is 10' per square
Large files, 3000 pixels wide and 400k sizeapprox, so you can see the human figures for scale and printing.

When the ships are THOSE sizes, they make much more sense in terms of
cover from ship's rail, to size for cargo and passengers etc

The ship sizes therefor are:

Deathspdier: 456' long, 122' beam, 94' high.
Squidship: 403' long, beam 40', 28 high.
Man-O-War: 312' long, 52' beam, 59' high.

The ships VOLUMES though from their shapes sitll work out approximately
close to the proportions form orginal descriptions, I could work out
exact ratios, but I don't think it's too far off. (modeller can work out
volumes just takes some time as I'd need to reassemble them)
