Thanks for the overview, Trampas. From the sounds of it, it isn't a 
book I need to rush out and buy. Are the ships decent looking? Do they 
have good deckplans? If yes, how many new ships are in it?

That's amusing. In my own SJ games I have redubbed the ethereal plane 
and filled it with Æther (a minor change more for "coolness" than 
anything) and have made it a factor in spelljamming. Doesn't sound like 
the same thing, though.
