In our last episode, Joe Kelly said:

are all just apprentices or merchants sons with no experience. Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks.
They're young, so you've got handle them gently. They're the
children of established people, buy the sound of it, so they're probably
being groomed to follow in their parents' footsteps. If they're on a planet,
they could be sent to collect payments. Maybe from a small outpost on a
nearby moon/asteroid, so there'd be some ship action. (Yeah, ship action
is good, since their hitpoints wouldn't come into play so much. Maybe end
with an exciting chase back home, or something.)
If you want to stay terrestrial at first, have something come
up that ties the parents up -- say, a conference, or a surprise visit
from an arcane which starts a spontaneous bazaar. Then the parents send
the kids to run some errands.
For something more intense, have something be stolen. Say,
a part of the shipment.
