It seems to me that as water is heavier and denser
than air, I would probably rule that instead of the
airy water equalling the keel length and the width of
the ship, I say the envelope around would be smaller
than the corresponding value of air, and that for
water living creatures, this would mean either shorter
voyages, or the use of towed barges to keep a large
enough water envelope. or the use of towed ice rocks
which would melt and renew the water envelope.
I would further rule that the water would tend to pool
along the gravity plane, giving the apearance of a
bulge and a thin sheet of water that extends furthest
out along the ship's length.
I am assuming there would be a sail/rudder needed
unless the idea is to folow the Vipership in
maneuverability because of slithering through the
water?
