Yahoo Groups are rather limited in what they allow one to do with then.
They can either set be up so all and sundry can look at everything (sort of
like building a house without doors) or have it set so people have to join.
Which, come to think of it, is not unlike how the BBSes of old were.

As for content: The group's only been in existance for about a month or so
(set it up sometime in April) and, to be perfectly, and painfully honest,
there's really not much chatter on it last I checked. What is there are
some downloadable playtest versions of games: Crystal Spheres, which is
about adventures in the Aetherial Void and the Great Beyond; Revenge of the
Crypt Fiend, a game that lets players be the Wandering Monsters; Ubel They,
a work in progress; and various articles and miscellaeny.

Crystal Spheres would probbaly be of most interest to the members of this
list, since it is more or less a meta-campaign setting similar in focus and
style to Spelljammer. That and the PDFs of vessels, including PDFs for the
Starhorse and Flowhorse (see my entry at Beyond the Moons for the recent
ship challenge) among others.

As for Fantastic Creations being "members only". It's actually a open
group, in so far as any one can join at any time. I tried to set it up to
be as amenable to folks as possible *and* secure. (I used to run a BBS and
know what can happen when you allow too much freedom to members, especially
where uploads are concerned.) Feel free to pop in and look around. Nothing
stopping you from joining then leaving if you don't like what you see, is
there?

Kind Regards,

Chris Morgan
