I am new to this list, and I have seen people with an attitude like yours before on other lists. All I can say is, if you do not feel you are getting 'your money's worth ' on this list, then you can do one of three things, 1- work to change it constructively by offering up new ideas to discuss, 2. Hit the unsubscribe button, 3 Continue to gripe and start flame wars which cause bad feelings and irritation in the list. Of the three, I would much rather see you do 1 or 2, because being around for 3 isn't any fun. Just as Politics should be kept off a list, griping over game producers won't really help much. The game producers have one concept that they are promoting and the proper reason to discuss them on a list is whether they have anything to contribute to your game. I was one of the first games-masters to run Spelljammer in the Central Maryland area. I ran 2ed AD&D Spelljamming for about 5 years then took a hiatus for numerous years. I have recently managed to start up a Spelljamming game which I run at a local game room, and I was happy to find this list as the supported product line had dried up. I never run my campaign from modules, and I pull ideas from many sources, I have no problem with what I have seen so far on this list. If newbies don't get heard, I suppose this post will get lost too. Hope you chose to contribute (1) but if not, you can choose to use the 2nd option to cut out the chatter you find offensive. Personally, I'm considering sticking around a while.
