I like the general idea of Savage Species, but some of the creatures
seem a bit weak to me. With it, you get some PCs with minisual HD and some
weird powers, but be considered like 14th level. Their choices of monster
PCs seem a bit odd, too. Lots of totally alien creatures, but few familiar
creatures (most glaring are bugbear, nymph, and like creatures).

I had to put that book down...it was killing my creativity for the
Contests. Constant interruptions didn't help, either ;p
