And now the real My'inthid. A flying creature used by the Illithids.

The My'inthid or Clot-fish as they are called by everyone but the
Illithids, are a species new to wildspace. Almost directly after their
enterance the largest part of the species were enslaved by the Illithids.
They conducted biological experiments on several speciments untill the
outcome were satisfactory to their liking.
The My'inthids are now used as steeds for the Illithid and used for the
Illithid cavalry, a most unnerving thought.
The My'inthid resemble terran catfish, with a bloated ellyptical body and
the squiddish head with six tentacles it uses to grab prey and move it to
its lamprey-like maw. The My'inthid's colors range from an ocean blue till
light colored orange. The My'inthids tend to lighten near the head.
Combat: The My'inthids are predators that like to attack prey whenever they have
the opportunity. The like to start with the "Clot Squirt"-attack, after
which they engage melee. If the opposition seams too much, the My'inthid
use the fly-by ability to snatch one opponent and fly away. After
finishing off the opponent they come back to repeat the process.
Clot Squirt (Ex): The My'inthid can release a blast of heated resin within a cone 60 ft.
long and 20 ft. wide. Creatures caught in the clot blast must make a
Reflex Save (DC=18) or be submerged in the sticky goo. Creatures caught in
the clot resin must make a second Reflex Save (DC=18) after one round or
be encapsuled in the hardened resin and glued to one place, unmovable and
effectively held in place. Creatures gain a bonus or +2 on their saves for
every partial action they used to remove the clot resin from their bodies.

Creatures that failed both saves are held in place and are unable to move.
Treat these creatures as if they have succomed to a Hold Monster spell.
They can however use their verbal and material components if
attempting to cast a spell, but no somatic components are allowed.
It takes 5 rounds to scrape the hardened clot resin from a medium-sized
creature.
The My'inthid receive a +4 attack bonus on clotted creatures.
Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, the My'inthid must hit with its tentacle attack. If
it gets a hold it can attempt to swallow the foe.
Master Save (Su): The My'inthid is so attuned to the Illithid masters (due to genetically
modifcation) that they may use the saving throws of their riders instead
of their own saves. Mostly this leads to the use of the own Fortitude and
Reflex save and the "borrowing" of the riders Will save.
Swallow Whole (Ex): My'inthid can try to swallow an opponent by making a successful grapple
check. The swallowed creature takes 3d4+3 points of crushing damage per
round plus 6 points of acid damage from the My'inthid's gizzard/stomach.
Creatures swallowed whole are considered grappled. The My'inthid does not
suffer any penalties for grappling creatures it has swallowed; thus it
retains its Dexterity bonus to AC and can make attacks, cast spells (if
applicable), and threaten squares normally. A swallowed creature can cut
its way out by using claws or a light piercing or slashing weapon to deal
24 points of damage to the gizzard/stomach (AC 22). Once the creature
exits, muscular action closes the hole; another swallowed opponent must
again cut its own way out.
The creature's stomach can hold one Medium, two Small, four Tiny or eight
Diminuitive opponents. Once the creature's stomach is full the it cannot
swallow any more opponents, but may still bite!
In the Spheres: Luckily these creatures are quite new in the spheres but the Illithids
are breeding them fast so to use them sphere-wide. Rumors of a fourth
Unhuman War are spreading but are so-far unconfirmed. This may look like a
first attempt to create bio-warfare weapons of their own to rival the
Orcish Witchlight Marauders and the Elven Bionoid and Spirit Warriors. The
Illithid ambassadors deny this vehemently of course.
