As a Dungeon-less DM: What is a PsiHound ????

<Thatotherguy>"So breeds that are resistant to
psionics (illithids), gaze attacks (umber hulks), and poison (neogi)
would all fit well in space"

I like your suggestion for breed purpose, perhaps it would be best for
them
to be done as breed templates for any combat-oreinted domestic animal.
In regards to the PsiHound (anti-psionic/illthid breed), many 3e
psionic
hunters have detect psionics (=detect magic) as a use at will power, along
with negate psionics (=dispel magic) several times a day. These abilities
seem appropriate for the PsiHound breed, the addition of damping(su) when
held <from Alfred O'Meagher> so that any creature grappled by the PsiHound
cannot manifest any powers whatsoever would be overpowered IMO, especially
if the hug also deals damage like a bear would, since 3e requires
concentration checks to manifest powers(just like for spells).
