Subject: Re: Dark Sun in Spelljammer
I solved that in 2e when Spelljammer and Dark Sun were
new. For my campaign, it worked like this (more or
less)
The world of Dark Sun sits in a relatively remote
Crystal Sphere with only one way to and from it in the
Phlogiston (the Sphere at the other end can be easily
changed to fit your needs.)

The life draining magic unique to Dark Sun was
invented on that world. The EIN discovered that world,
saw the danger of it and tried to stop it, but it was
too late.

So instead, they have now blockaded the world with no
one allowed on or off. Why it is blockaded is a
closely guarded secret. If someone lands there, the
EIN tries to destroy their helm so they can't get off
the planet.

So far, so good. Until our heroes came along.

The number of adventure hooks here kept my campaign
busy for months.

Lurking over your shoulder,
Eric Collins
(no relation to Andy Collins of BtSM fame.)
