Had I known my opinion was taboo I'd never have stated it. To clarify it
I have nothing against 3e as a system, the numbers add up, there's no
glaring holes, it functions well as a whole. I most likely won't use it
because A) I am not in the position to buy an entirely new set of
books B) I have a perfectly good set of 2nd edition books already C) I
don't agree with the experience point system. These were and are my
opinions and nothing more. I'm certainly not condemning 3e nor reviling
any that play it. In fact I think 3e and the concurrent birth of the 'd20'
system has helped RPing as a whole with more settings and source books then
has been seen in a dog's age!

However to answer Leroy Van Camp's question I feel the experience point
system is homogenized. To me I don't think a 5th level fighter and a 5th
level mage are equal. a Mage should need more experience points to reach
that level. I feel this change was made to facilitate streamlining for
computer games rather then actual in game considerations. Again I state
this as an Opinion and nothing more. I don't expect any to agree with me
nor do I desire to start a flame war of any kind. I have enjoyed Mr. Van
Camp's site many times and have used several of the ideas on said site in
my own games. Again I do hope that my opinion was not taken as any slight
against 3e players. It was not meant as one. It was just my opinion.

On another note I have indeed been to the BtM site many times and enjoy
each visit. I recently finished the Lionheart stories in the 'tales'
section and found it quite a read. A real 'page turner' as it were. I
would most definitely like to read more by that author.
