Hey folks back in town (at least for a little while) thanks to Uncle Sam. Anyway, I couldn't help but respond to this one. I find 3e more capable of being 'character unique' than 2e. To me 2e seemed to have cookie cutter characters even with the addition of the kits. However, I think that with 3e characters can advance too fast (usually in half the playing time of 2e) and become too powerful too quick. IMC, I've slowed the advancement of my players considerably. On the whole, I prefer 3e, but with but temper it with some 2e experience. Just my two cents... B.
