Last Time JJJ wrote: SJ Helms have an extremely high cost. The first time a party captures a ship, the first decision has been usually to sell the Helm (or the entery ship) gaining in the process at least 100.000 gp (for a Minor Helm in a galleon). What were the solutions people here used for this problem? --------------------------------- Are you running a 2E or 3E campaign? The reason I ask is that I think the best solution is to reduce the cost of the helm, as in Spider Moon. Spider Moon lists the market price of a minor helm at 20,000gp, while a major helm is 50,000gp. I would say that the value of a gold piece isn't any different between 2E and 3E. Plus, you could always say that players can't just sell a spelljamming helm. Create new regulations for your game or turn it into a plot device. Perhaps the ship belonged to someone else that the crew, that the player's captured it from, stole it. Maybe that person wants his stolen ship back and have the papers to prove it. Cheers! KF72
