Do you think, though, that the Spheres, phlogiston and so on are elements that Spider Moon deliberately left out, ie as part of the Polyhedron approach to old "unpopular" settings? Do you think they meant that now the new version of SJ has no spheres, phlogiston and so on? If so, how would you handle a realistic universe of solar systems with simply magical propulsion and spaceship design? Actually, I think Any Collins stated on a message board once that the mini-game had to be focused in order to fit within the scope of polyhedron. So, yes, the idea of spheres and phlogiston were left out on purpose. Those features were beyond the scope of Spider Moon. It is this reason which has lead me to create a new spelljammer cosmology, which should fit into almost any spelljammer campaign. It is my goal to make this document as complete as I can make it without hurting my brain or denying myself the sleep I need. I will keep you all informed of my progress, KF72 rblezard@???????.com
