I stand by this as many Arabic culture ships had no toilet of any sort, smaller Elizabethan vessels didn't, and of course fantasy war rafts and Viking ships don't. The terms have to be as inclusive as possible rather than pedantically following a single culture or era. But it's good we are discussing all of this! Thanks for the response to my long post! ;-) PS I just thought of what a rooster tail swathing through the flow could look like... sweet.
