Also available with a kick-ass image by Ron Pollard.

I prefer to create a new beasty with the rust attack than create a
sub-species for the scavvers. If we do so we create an intergalactic
species we can outfit with whatever bizare abilities we fancy. Than they
would evolve into the space variant of the Beholder Abominations.

Personally I would like to see a bizarre creature with large feathered
antenna that have immense reach in space. Somewhat like 150 yards so they
could attack spelljammer ships in combat. The shape would be something
like an octopus......

The space rust monster is sort of a scavver type beastie (for stats etc.)
but with no attack other than the rust monster metal eating. Appearance
wise
it is a rust monster "morphed" into a shark-looking thing with one big
glaring eye... does the eye mean it comes from whatever corner of
wildspace
spawned the Eye Tyrants? Who knows.
I have the 3e stats if there is a site for such stuff.
