The Drow are in league and hired the Scro to attack the city the only
problem will be convincing the Scro that they the Drow are running the
show.

Well, OK.  Are the drow in league with the scro?  Allied with them?  Or do
they simply happen to be in the city?  If they simply happen to be present,
they'll do as they see fit, either extricating themselves, staying put,
looting, or joining in the defense of the city (yes, they're chaotic evil;
that does not preclude them making common cause against a common enemy).
A night attack against a ground city has both positive and negative aspects.
The scro see better than humans in the night, but they're unfamiliar with the
city, which would contribute to confusion among the scro troops; all the
problems of urban warfare.
