Traditional AD&D cosmology gives dwarves, elves, halflings, orcs, goblins, etc. their own pantheons, and these pantheons are more or less stable in different worlds; Greyhawk and the Realms, as the "core" worlds, used them. This was reinforced by Planescape. Worlds that weren't intended as "core" settings--Dragonlance, Birthright, Dark Sun and even regions on Toril (Al-Qadim, Maztica) didn't employ these pantheons. So: A debate topic for the list. What should the role of these demihuman pantheons be in Spelljammer? Should groundling societies ignore these pantheons, and just stick with their own? Should these pantheons function as the glue that holds the far-flung demihuman races together, functioning as near-omnipresent deities beyond even the ability of the Church of Ptah?
