You assume I ever wanted to hit anything other than the asteroid.  In
this case you have not understood.

No, with the SJ physics hitting is especially easy.  With magic it's
even easier.

See my post.  As long as we're not talking a planet (and I wasn't) this
isn't much of a problem under the current system.  Which could be part
fo the point.

On a common sense note...that depends on your universe.  Mine doesn't
have space dust able to destroy asteroids everywhere (though in real
life such does exist).  And how all these colonies are affording
battalions of war mages and powerful mythals I'm not sure.  Do you
really have enough high level wizards IYC to even do all that?

So the above is your suggested fix?  Sounds good to me.  Of course I'm
not sure what drift means, I'll assume you mean at rest unless IMC I
use magical currents in space of some sort.
