i thought it was a 10-yd-cube, i.e. 10 yards on a side, which is
27000 cubic feet.
or is it really a volume of space 10yd x 10yd x 1 yd (or a cube 13.9
ft on a side)?  i thought i remembered something mathematically
neater than that.
