Thanks :) It's not there yet, I need to HTML it. Eventually it'll go
there, along with the ogre, kobold, and the orc articles when I'm done
with the touchups (orc is still only 1/3rd done, though, and I want to
redo the kobold one ;)

Oh, and you need some line breaks; some of the lines got cut off.

Overall, not bad idea at all. Like the cutting off of back legs ;) An
alterate idea might be to have the spiders be kinda like 'fisher'
spiders (which weave webs between their forward legs to use as nets to
catch insects). The moon might be riddled with huge caverns inhabited
by giant insects of all kinds (their prey). Perhaps they spend their
entire lives attached to the cavern roofs, and the only way the drow
could get them loose was to cut their back legs off. Breeding spiders
for slaughter doesn't sound much like the drow, mainly because they
worship spiders so much (remembering scene from some Drizz't book where
a soldier accidentially stepped on a spider and was promptly executed).
:) Anyways, just tossing ideas your way ;)
