That's what happens when you "kiddy up" a movie.
And what was he thinking when he put JA JA Binks in it. That character
ruined the movie. It maid all the other blaring mistakes minor. The only
other mistake that comes close was the kid, he couldn't act his way out of a
paper bag. It is a shame they couldn't get the kid from that Bruce Willis
movie, the one where the kid saw dead people (can't remember the name)

just an honest mistake.  could *anyone* have guessed, based on the
first three movies, or even Lucas' record in general, that Phantom
Menace would be such dreck?  i kinda figured it wouldn't live up to
anybody's favorite of eps 4-6, but i expected it'd be better than the
vast majority of non-Star Wars SF movies, rather than beneath even
the median.
