Am I right in thinking that the new D&D cosmology completely h0rks
the Spelljamming universe?
Apologies if this is an old, worn out topic. I've just recently
rejoined the list after finally getting around to purchasing the 3rd
Edition D&D stuff, and I'm going through the books now. But from my
cursory investigation, it seems as though if you want to get from Toril to
Oerth, you have to take the Plane of Shadow. Spelljamming doesn't seem to
be an option anymore.
I'll be happy to hear that I'm misreading something or that I just
haven't read far enough into the books I have, but my first impression is
that not only does the new D&D cosmology administer a serious beating to
Planescape (my favorite D&D setting), it also tears Spelljammer (my 2nd
favorite D&D setting) to shreds.
What's UP with that?
