I'm going to have to ask the pardon of all the learned, and more experienced
DM's gathered in this fine group, but, ... one step at a time.

     I have seen the PBM's where the dm assumes you will do as he would, and
tells you how it all came out.  Most of the time, it just stinks.
     And I've seen the DM's that have you write out contingencies.  Forget
it.
     Nope.   It takes forever, but you gotta play it out one step at a time.

How would one handle combat (ship to ship and hand to
hand) in a PBeM format?  If I can get a good
explaination for this I would be willing to run a PBeM
