I suggested the Elven Navy-sponsored voyage as just one possibility.
There's any number of groups who have interest in the fringes of the Known
Spheres.  My original thought was a Man-O-War so the PCs would have a larger
ship to hold up against the hazards of wildspace.  Of course, I can't
noticing it sounds like a cross between "Star Trek" and "Voyage of the Dawn
Treader."

Looks like I'm going to be putting a game together, though I won't plan on
hunting for characters for the next few weeks.  Anyone else who wants to put
in their two-coppers, speak up now. ;)
