You know that items might have varied value depending on the location. These
prices might be what these magic items are worth on parts of Greyhawk. But
what about the Realms. Might they be worth less due to the fact that magic
items are created there. And might they be worth a lot more on Krynn where
magic items are extremely rare. (This is based on my impressions from
material read on each realm. DM's of course can and do change this) The
reason I bring this up is that Helms in a SJ setting such as the Rock should
not be as expensive as the listed price given the amount of ships in the
written material. In fact they should be concederly less expensive. The
demand that would be out there for these helms would make the Mages or (if
only the Arcane had the knowledge of creating helms) produce more because of
the profit. If the helms are priced too high then no one buys them. Now if
you say that helms are expensive to make then I tell you that if you build
an industry around making the helms (such as I suspect the Arcane have) then
material prices for the Helm will go down. Yes the Helm may have that book
price if found and sold on parts of Greyhawk where Spelljamming is almost
unheard of.

What do you think?

There isn't a big change in prices from 2e->3e. No real change in
mundane items. They priced magic items; here are some examples:

Broom of Flying: 15,100 gp
Ion Stones: 20,000 gp
Horn of Valhalla: 50,000 gp
Bowl of Command Water Elementals: 100,000 gp
Ring of Elmental Command: 200,000 gp
Rod of Power: 200,000 gp
