You mean the ships you only have to hit once to disable, and send kareening
into the Deathstar in a ball of fire? Yeah, they're sooo advanced and
well-designed...

Sailing ships are, on a whole, pretty sturdy, and they're way bigger than a
star wars-type fighter.
