The discussions concerning real-world physics, alternate species roles, technology and so on are most interesting, but let's face it, they are not compatible with official Spelljammer. Personally, and with no offence at all intended to Rian, I think the published rules already have more than enough gunpowder weapons. What do other list-members think of closing off this topic to Compendium? Likewise Athas-Space and other published D&D settings not already described for Spelljammer? I just think these topics are both too easy and too much of a distortion to the game. 2e and 3e material should be separated, but remain convertible, until the time (near or far off) when a 3e conversion is complete and the official site no longer supports 2e. This decision will be painful, but I believe inevitable.
