Subject: Re: Submissions to Compendium...
Well, hey, Static, I never submitted anything because I have trouble being
accepted. Lord knows I have few enough fans in "real life" whatever that is,
and less than a handful here...and I've never really considered my writings
good enough to be "official" anything. I suppose there were people who got
turned off by the official process, forgot about Compendium, or
whatever...Or people like Leroy, who don't want other parties gaining
control of their creations.

On the one hand, official control keeps things to a set pattern, and
generally to a certain quality level. On the other hand, conformity keeps
things to a certain pattern and quality level...You get my meaning.

Now, I'm all for whatever you want. I trust you, your gaming tastes and
rules interpretations aren't too far from mine (at least to the point I
won't try to "correct" everything you say) and you own my favorite gaming
site. If you want to filter the site all by your lonesome, or grab a few
people you can work with well, you go with your bad elf. Personally, I don't
play well with others, and I run with scissors. But you go right ahead with
what you want.

Another big problem with the whole "new official SJ" is when you get 30
submissions, you're bound to get 29 fixes to the gravity concept, and one
munchkin-character-race.

I'll have to try submitting one of my munchkin-character-races one of these
days...

(And you're right, the color scheme hurts, but it doesn't keep me from using
the site...you COULD go back to BTM's, or similar...)
