Even the sorceror-kings themselves use defiler/preserver magic and/or
psionics. They would follow the same rules as everybody else.

I think they'd be able to cobble something together, however...They probably
have enough resources/slaves to murder to get anything they want. Of course,
they might not even consider the possibility of leaving Athas' surface;
remember how dirt-kickers don't know anything about space...? These guys
have more dirt to kick.

Since pretty much every sorceror-king I've heard of but the Forest Queen was
a defiler, though, they'd have to use very large ships (like the Neogi) to
hold more slaves, or just swear off magic. Or just use rotating lifejammer
victims, or whatever...

I think even the possibility of gaining a helm should be the object of a few
quests. WHOA! Brainstorm! ARTIFURNACE! Now that took me awhile...Just get an
artifact and build an artifurnace for it...probably the object of two quests
to build the furnace, maybe three to get a ship too.
