Subject: Re: Ship to Ship Combat Spelljammer Style
Hi all,

I've been a quiet contender for a while watching the proceedings with great
interest. I have also been doing my own conversions for the SJ campaign I am
running at the moment. I have done up a basic ship to ship system using the
hex grid and based it pretty much on the original. My group had a test run
recently and after a short period of time we were underway and it was
relatively easy.

If you're interested you can find it at

http://www.geocities.com/fool.geo/scc3.xls

(It's in Excel 2000, but should display on the web easily enough)

One thing I try to keep alive in my game is a sense of "Nothing is
Impossible", what ever they want to try I'll let them try and using the 3rd
Ed guidelines it makes for an easy run and sometimes very interesting and
amusing situation. After all it's a fantasy setting with weird and wonderful
creatures and chairs that make ships fly, why the hell can't anything and
everything be possible.

:)

Anyway, use it, tweak it adapt it, do what you need to to it, it's just
something I came up with and used and it worked for me so I thought I'd
throw it out there and see if it was useful to you.

Talk to you all again sometime soon
