        Well, this is true, and from a strictly cannon sense I suppose you can't
count an Illithid helm as being a psionic helm, but I'm trying to find
something vaguely cannon to try to find some way to use psionics in a
manner that doesn't actually conflict with the basic assumptions of
spelljammer, or require a magic/psi crossover (such as the Exude Magic
devotion that someone invented, obviously it was a solution that he liked,
but it seemed somewhat out of tune with the general way psionics and
spelljamming were defined).

        I've always taken the "magic is one thing, psionics is another" that the
TSR people wrote into the Psionics Handbook.  Now, I am lead to unerstand
that the 3rd Edition book makes psionics vlunerable to anti-magic shells,
but I don't have the 3rd edition books just yet (cashflow problems) so I
don't know if this is true or not.
        If it is true I'll probably go against the rules there and keep the
absolute solution between psi and magic.  Same as I'll keep the old 2nd
Edition Continual Light spell, and bugger the 3rd Edition people who
decided that it should be eleminated :)
