On bathing:

Considering the difficulties in getting water in space, a sand-scouring
would be easiest. Not necessarily just for lizards. When you're done, you
get a little rinse, and you go back to whatever you were doing. That is,
unless you have some water-producing item. (Bathtub of Cleanliness?)

Remember, air isn't all you have to import, and I'd rather stink than die of
thirst any day. And drinking bathwater is not as good an idea as it may
sound...(Barring purify water, and I've never had a ship's cleric.)

Yeas, the elven affinity for flutes, lyres, and harps is something commonly
used. They always overlook the elven banjo, though.

Bagpipes, drums, accordions, simple stringed instruments...Dwarves would
like anything you can drink to. And you can't drink to a drum..."Get that
balsted pounding away from me, you daft blaggard..."

I think that would be right on target.

I'd probably have the thri-kreen play either tinny brass instruments, or
mandolin-style many-stringed instruments. That could work pretty well,
seeing the over-abundance of limbs.
