I don't think they would anticipate much of a market for such a thing
outside the Illithids, so you'd probably have to get one from the Illitihds.
When you consider how rare psionicists of other races are, getting that many
of them on one ship is going to be extremely rare.

I should think a sargasso would deaden a psion helm as much as a normal one.
Seeing as it's more a psionics adapter than a simple magic-to-force or
psionics-to-force converter, you shouldn't get any benefits from being
psions. You get to use your powers, though, I think...

My question is, can a single Aboleth use one? I mean, they're freakishly
large and powerful. And supposing it wanted to go slaving in space like
everybody else, it would need SOMEthing. I suppose it could just enslave a
magic-user and use a helm, but...
