I'm still back and now a question about music

        I'm working on some campaign background and two things came up.

        The first is bathing.  Obviously the races with smooth skin and not too
much hair (humans, elves, dwarves, hobbits, gnomes, giff, etc) all bathe
and like it.  However it occurred to me that the other races probably
wouldn't want to bathe to get clean.
        The really hairy races, hadozee and grommams probably wouldn't want to
bathe more than once every two weeks or so just because it would take so
long to get their fur dry.  However, like dogs, cats, etc, they'd probably
want to brush their fur at least once a day.
        The insectoid races, thri-kreen, rastipedes, and xixchil, would probably
prefer to be wiped off with a sponge or damp cloth and get their
exoskeletons waxed.
        But what do the scaley folks do?  Everyone knows that the lizardmen swim,
and the hurwaeti are also semi-aquatic, but what about the dracons?
        Just a thought, and I'm wondering what anyone else thinks.

        The more important question I have is: what music instruments, and style
of music, do you think the various races would enjoy?  Most people I've
spoken to tend to think of the elves as preferring woodwind instruments and
perhaps some strings, the dwarves as being into percussion instruments
(drumming and chanting), etc.
        I tend to think that the giff would have pretty simple taste in music,
tending towards drums and probably brass instruments with marches and such
like being their preferred music.  I can see the hadozee and grommams being
into woodwinds and flutes.  And there I come to something of a stop.  I'm
not a music expert at all, and I'm wondering what the you people think.
Especially on the subject of the insectoid races.  I had a semi-crazy
thought of the thri-kreen being into bagpipe style instruments, and I'm not
sure if that works at all....
