anyway, to the original poster: you might have been premature.  i
look back at my mailbox and see 4 active threads that are all
on-topic.  but then i noticed the date of the digest you were
responding to, and that was probably full of alignment stuff (which i
think is at least tangential, but i can see how you'd think it was
off topic).  now that the 3E conversion threads have died down, the
list has been pretty much entirely on-topic.  anyway, you're free to
go, just thought you might like to know.
